Finding authentic ramen in Abuja is quite the extreme sport so when we saw a post from The Salad Guru, we definitely had to stop by to try their Chicken Ramen. We also had their Sweet & Sour Chicken Salad, Iced Tea and Going Bananas Smoothie.
So what do we think:
The Chicken ramen dish featured long pulled noodles topped with grilled chicken breasts, hard boiled eggs, sesame seeds, chilli flakes and spring onions in warm, rich and dark chicken broth. This dish was absolutely delicious in a nostalgic and comforting way. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken was nicely seasoned and the soy-based broth was very flavourful. Only complaint was it was served with a fork and not chopsticks as expected which was a bit disappointing otherwise it would have been perfect. Also we wanted two portions however only one was available. The ramen cost N3200.
he salad was an interesting and well balanced dish which featured sweet, spicy, sour and savoury flavours which was great. We liked the colours and textures in it. The portion size was also decent which we liked. It had chicken, pineapples, tomatoes, cashew nuts, beets, lettuce, carrots, cucumber and sweet corn. The salad cost N3500.
